Bowling Apr 2019

UNITED IN PASSION

2018 was a very eventful and successful year for our SP Bowlers. Pol-ITE 2018 was held at Temasek Club on 27th October. Our bowlers trained very hard resulting in the men’s team emerging as overall champions. Our women’s team was also successful in clinching first runners-up in the women’s overall schools category. Special mention goes to our captain, Soh Yong Kang, for bringing back the gold medal in the Singles Category for the Men’s division. The women’s team was also successful in clinching overall 3rd in IVP 2019 which was held on 26th and 27th January. We are also proud to have our bowler, Iliya Syamim, win the Honours award as well as coach Jimmy who won the Coach of the Year award.

It does not matter whether you are a seasoned bowler or just looking to pick up bowling. The passion for the sport is what links us together.

The team will continue to give their all in the upcoming year’s competition! We would like to thank Ms Sally Lim, Coach Adam, Coach Jimmy and all the alumnis for their unwavering guidance and support. Aside from competitions, our club also organised events involving our alumnis, such as the 3-Way Friendly and our Annual Past Versus Present event. It was very heartwarming to have alumnis from up to 8 batches ago still coming down to support the club in its endeavours. So what is SP Bowlers Club really all about? In SPBC, everyone is invited to join the club. It does not matter whether you are a seasoned bowler or just looking to pick up bowling. The passion for the sport is what links us together. Even if you have graduated from SP, the deep friendships and bonds carry on and you will always be welcomed back to the club. We are, and always will be, one team, one family!
